~ Sydney ~
Believe it or not I actually lived in Sydney for 3 years when my parents first immigrated to Australia, I didn’t really remember much but I have been back to visit friends loads of times. I love Sydney, the most popular place to go is obviously Bondi beach, this beach is so rammed during the summer but still such a good vibe. Like Byron, you can find all the smoothie and acai bowls you could ever want, theres also an outside gym which is just off of the beach. There is a really nice walk called Bronte to Bondi, It takes you all along the coast and the views are spectacular, I highly recommend doing this, you can treat yourself to a nice glass of wine at Icebergs afterward!
The opera house and Sydney harbour bridge should be next up on the agenda, they are absolute icons of Australia. At the opera house there is infact a place called the Opera bar which you can see the Harbour bridge from, it’s probably one of the best places you’re going to see the bridge unless you get a boat out, which I also highly recommend doing! The Opera bar is massive so there isn’t usually a shortage on seats unless you go on a Saturday night.
You can climb the Harbour bridge, and iv’e been told it is a must do as it’s bloody amazing! I haven’t yet done it myself but I have always wanted to, its pretty expensive to do though, it’s about $250AUD depending on what time you go. My mum has done it and she says its an experience like no other!
Whilst you’re in Sydney you will be told by everyone to go to the Blue mountains, do not by pass these, you will regret it forever! Some of the most beautiful scenery you will ever see, if you’re going in the winter its bloody cold so make sure you take the appropriate clothing!
Theres so much to do and see around Sydney, the city is huge, its basically 5 cities in one. The food is delicious! Make sure you try and get to “the grounds” at Alexandria, It is an awesome outdoor food market with loads to choose from!
