San Fransisco

~ San Fransisco ~

It was the morning when we arrived in San Fransisco and once we got to the airbnb we had no idea if we should sleep (as we hadn’t slept on the flights over here) or if we should suck it up and explore. So we went to explore, we walked for ages exploring all of San Fran, the city is so amazing, its exactly like the films, the roads are so steep! We were meeting James’s parents there and we actually just happened to bump into them walking around haha! We all decided on getting bikes so we could cycle over to the Golden Gate bridge. It was a very windy 3 hour cycle there and back but It was totally worth it (especially hard in our jet lagged state). I was literally obsessed with the Golden Gate, I am so happy the sky wasn’t super cloudy, sometimes you can’t see it very well so make sure the day is clear when you decide to do the 3 hour bike ride haha!

Pier 33 is real corny, I would recommend going down and having a look but its mostly rides and stalls, I got some mini donuts which were delicious but other then that there isn’t a lot going on. The food pier is another story though, so much fresh fish and lobster, lobster rolls are a serious must!!! Also clam chowder is their speciality and you must try as San Fran is known for their awesome clam chowder and fresh seafood. Also the sea lions, oh my god they’re so cute and lazy haha you need to spot them!

I dont really know what I was expecting when we booked our tickets to Alcatraz, I also couldn’t understand that everyone else in the queue to get on the ferry and go to Alcatraz were all Americans, I now know why Americans never leave America, because there is just so much to do!! I never usually like audio tours but the Alcatraz audio tour was the best tour I have done, it really told the story like you were there experiencing everything with these prisoners and guards (they’re all real prisoners and guards from Alcatraz that speak on the audio tour).

Whilst we were still in San Fran we picked up the RV with my in-laws and started our road trip to Las Vegas.
