~ Las Vegas ~
How hectic is Vegas, oh my god! I always thought of Vegas to be this super tacky city with heaps of tacky neon sings everywhere. But it’s nothing like that at all, its all lush buildings and supercars, yes obviously some parts are tacky, well a lot but its still nothing like I thought it would be. Our goal was to visit every casino there was along the strip, we managed to do it over two days.
We were here for two nights before the Grand Canyon and one night after, the first two days we stayed in a casino called MGM Park, we got it for a really good deal from Expedia.com as they were doing a few renovations to the resort and for the last night we had in Vegas we stayed in the Mirage, this is so cool, it has the largest aquarium and its right behind the check in desks!
You must visit – Caesars Palace, The venetian, The Bellagio (especially the dancing fountains, I could have watched these all day and night!) and The Wynn.
We spent a lot of our time in the Bellagio and Caesars Palace, I think Caesars Palace is probably the biggest casino along the strip, you can spend hours inside and not even see the whole thing. A lot of the time they change the lighting inside so you forget what the time is and if its even day or night outside. They also pump the casinos with oxygen so you can stay awake for longer and be more alert. You can actually feel the difference as you walk in from the street into a casino. In caesars palace we went to the Nobu restaurant, we didn’t eat as we were on a budget but we did have a couple of cocktails.
Most of the time we ate at the Cheesecake Factory, I know what you’re thinking, why the hell would you eat there all the time it sounds sickly! But it is honestly one of the best restaurants, it has everything you could ever imagine on its massive menu including 20 different choices of cheesecakes! Most of the time I would opt for the grilled salmon with veg! The photos below were taken at the Nobu restaurant by the way.
