France

~ Paris ~

The travel from the airport to the city was super easy, (quick note I would suggest you go to the toilet on the plane or before you get through customs as there wasn’t a toilet in sight when we got through, we ended up having to ask a hotel to let us use their toilet haha!) we got the train which was less then 10 euros each I believe, It was only a half hour and we managed to get a train with only 1 stop (winning!). We had a short walk to our apartment which was the cutest little French building, our room was so cute, it had two levels and the staff were so lovely, we also had breakfast included which we didn’t realise (give me all the chocolate croissants!). Navigating was super easy, the metro is honestly the easiest public transport I have ever used, its a huge place but you can’t really get lost (a paper map is an excellent shout as my phone died from taking so many pictures haha).

I’ll start off with the obvious place to visit when going to France, Paris. This city is so damn remarkable, there is so much to see and do! The highlight of my trip to Paris was obviously the Eiffel tower, words can’t describe what you feel when you see it, It is after all the city of love.

Other top places to go are Notre Damn, Arch de Triumphe, Moulin Rouge, the big Dior tree at Christmas, The Louvre (seeing the Mona Lisa is actually an awesome feeling) and Champs-Elysees Avenue.

There’s so many good places to eat as well, we had some amazing meals, we literally just walked around and if we liked the look of a restaurant we went in, and believe me you are not short on nice restaurants. What I did learn is that if the menu looks to good to be true (price wise) then it usually is. Don’t go somewhere cheap, its worth spending the few extra euros and having a really good meal. A little lesson we learn’t after seeing a busy restaurant which was reasonably priced and thinking wow we’ve hit the jackpot, when in actual fact you sit down and realise everyone else around you is a tourist too and that is just not want you want to see.

Moulin Rouge is not to be missed, you need to see this show, it is fantastic! Very crammed inside, it was a Monday night and you couldn’t fit anyone else inside so make sure you book in advance because it will be sold out!
