~ Byron Bay ~
This is traveller central, its also hippy, surfer, skateboarder, sunbaker and everything central, it is the most diverse and chilled out place on the planet. It is right on the beach with loads of restaurants, bars and shops. It has such a chilled vibe anyone who’s been can tell you that. Even on the beach at sunset people will play the bongos, guitars, they’ll sing and fire twirl. It is a magical place. The restaurants and cafes are really unique and quaint, people travel a fair way just to go to The Farm at Byron so make sure you get there!
Anyway, a little drive inland will bring you to a place called Nimbin, everyone calls this place weed city because you can buy it everywhere, I think the police turn a blind eye to it. Just next to Nimbin is Minyon falls, a massive waterfall which has walking trails. Unfortunately when we went to Minyon falls it was raining, however we still decided to do one of the trails to the bottom of the waterfall. It was about half way down when we realised we were being attacked by leaches and legged it back up to the top. I have never been the same since… haha but seriously it was horrible, so don’t go if it’s wet, unless you are prepared for leaches.
